The building of interest is located in Piazza della Repubblica in Florence. The concept is based on the diffusion of light and the shadows created. Due to the complicated canvas used for the synthesis, although outside one can see the classic renaissance facades, inside it’s like ‘you break the rules’. The very walls are detached from one another while stripes of glass are used to emphasize this detachment but also to let the light pass slightly through the rooms. So, everything seems to flow in the space. The metal panels inside every room don’t go up to the ceiling, following the vocabulary of the design while every column brings a structure of shelves separating different areas in a light way.
