F all-in-g.lass tower

The design concerns the creation of a new landmark in the city of Thessaloniki. In contrast to the existing landmark – White Tower – a new modern tower is composed in direct dialogue with the water element.

The development of the building volume in height contrasts with the linearity of the beach front which is accessed via an elongated platform. The individual volumes, although strictly linear, give the feeling of floating, keeping the building seemingly light. This is achieved both due to the transparency in the shell and also due to the individual green zones that are inserted between the main volumes acting as reliefs to the building’s morphology and function.

The tower as a design center accommodates a multitude of uses (exhibitions, libraries, offices, restaurant-café, etc.) offering visitors new qualities of space, a public character at height through the open parks and a 360-degree panoramic view.
